Well, hello there!

This is my story — a journey from concept to creation.

The 14-year-old dream.

With a growing passion in programming and the looming fear of making a career choice, it took one night and one game to change the course of my life for the better.

After completing The Last of Us and watching its "Making of," the stars aligned perfectly and I knew immediately that I was destined to be a game programmer.

Navigating the Unknown.

Treading in uncharted waters is scary, and unfortunately life got in the way making the lows extremely low. I lost almost all motivation. My grades dropped, the hope was lost, and the mountain seemed a bit too high to climb.

The passion never died, though, and playing The Last of Us Part 2 was the reassuring beacon in immense darkness. I had to start somewhere, anywhere, and after careful planning and a lot of elbow grease, I joined the University of London and started my Bachelor's in Computer Science.

Breaking Barriers.

Filled with determination, I set out to make a statement: I will be a game programmer one day. It was a mission of intent, meant to prove to myself that I'm capable. But little did I know how much University of London cared, and how much they noticed.

My story and hard work led me to becoming a Student Ambassador, a member of the Student Voice Group, and a Student Blogger. I was featured on multiple UoL podcasts and was becoming "the game development guy" amongst the university community.

Coursera was so inspired they flew me out and made a commercial based on my story. I remember calling my dad that day and laughing with him about me "becoming famous."

Learn to be the best.

Once the opportunity presented itself, I knew I had to take it. I decided to move away from home and find my new home in sunny California!

Meaningful games require effort, time, and skill. The first two are a given, but the last one can always be improved upon; thus, I can always become a better game developer. I decided to enroll in an ASc in Games Design and Development with Pasadena City College. This is my purpose... and I want to be really good at it.

Right now.

I got accepted into the Snap Engineering Academy! Marking my first real step into the land of tech!

Exciting things are on the horizon and I can't wait to share more with you! Until then though, endure and survive.
